CULTURE PERTH AND KINROSS - ‘MyMuseum’ 3D MODELS

The following images are snapshots of some of the work optimised and created for a Professional Project for a real life client, Culture Perth and Kinross, for which I was the Art Lead. The client are heading a major project that would transform how the public would interact with Perth Museum and its collections. Our project team produced a prototype environment and museum artefacts for a ‘sandbox’ game for players to build and customise their own museum spaces.

Below are a selection of Museum Artefacts and Environment Propositions for the final Prototype game.

The Art Lead Job Roles: - Creating MyMuseum’s Visual Style Guide, Communicating with Client, Working in Team Environment and Problem Solving, Producing and Optimising 3D Models, Texturing, Directing other Project Artists.

PROJECT DETAILS

poly count/file size

The assets involved in this project had varying poly counts so there was no poly limit. However, there was a limit to keep each asset under 10MB in file size.

SOFTWARE

ZBrush

Maya

Substance Painter

Unity

restrictions

The target market was (7+), to older users, including those with minimal experience with games, so the game had to be simple to use in both UI and game design. We were restricted to only use artefacts that were in the client’s collection. The game is purely environmentally based, so there was no scope to add character models.
